What happens to what you submit.

MyAtomy has no sign-up, no sign-in and no password. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details, and we do not create an account for you behind the scenes.

Because there is no account, there is nothing linking one analysis you run to another, and no profile of you is built.

Reports you run are saved in your own browser using IndexedDB, along with a small counter in local storage that tracks how many analyses you have run today. Both live on your device.

We do not receive a copy of your history. Clearing your browser data, or using the Clear control in the workspace, deletes it permanently — we cannot restore it, because we never had it.

To analyse a claim, the content you submit has to leave your browser. What you type, the text extracted from a PDF or page you supply, and any image you upload are sent to our server and then on to the services required to generate a report.

Those services are: an AI provider, which performs the reasoning; Europe PMC, which is searched for literature; and Crossref, which is used to resolve DOIs. Search queries derived from your claim are sent to the literature databases. Your claim text and any uploaded content are sent to the AI provider.

Uploaded files are processed in memory to extract their text and are not written to a database or object store by us. We do not sell or share your submissions, and we do not use them to train models.

We cannot guarantee what the services above do with data they receive — that is governed by their own terms, not ours, and those terms can change. AI providers commonly retain API inputs for a limited period for abuse monitoring.

Treat anything you submit as leaving your control. Do not paste personal health information, identifying details about yourself or anyone else, or anything confidential. If you want to analyse a claim that appears in a personal medical document, retype the claim rather than uploading the document.

To keep the service available, requests are rate limited. This uses your IP address, which is present in the ordinary server logs any web service produces. A limit of 5 analyses per browser per day is enforced in your browser; a separate limit applies per connection.

We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, cookie-based profiling, or fingerprinting. MyAtomy sets no cookies.

MyAtomy is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Because there are no accounts, we have no way to notify you directly — the current version is always the one published here.
